One Church

Paul was trying to detach the Corinthians’ sense of pride from the place they gather. No group is better than another because of the place in which they worship. Buildings are not temples, they are tools. The reason that the church in Jerusalem grew by the thousands, even though these Christians could not meet in one place but had to divide up into homes, was that “All the believers were one in heart and mind.” Acts 4:32
