Team Up

You have something to give

God has given every one of us gifts and talents that we can use to expand the Kingdom and help others take their next step in following Jesus. Teaming up with others blesses God, our family at NCC, our community, and ourselves. We encourage every person who calls NCC their church home to find a place to serve. If you don't know where to start, we want to help!

Don't think you have any gifts?

If you've never even thought about what gifts and talents you bring to the table, you may want to visit everygift.com and take the everygift inventory. It takes approximately 20 minutes and can help identify your gifts across 12 distinct areas.

Ready to Team Up?

Please take a moment to look at the brief introduction to all the areas you could serve and then complete and submit our volunteer form. There's a place to indicate where you think you might fit in. However, you can also let us know you're ready to team up even though you're not quite sure where. We'll help you find your place.
Next Gen Ministry
Our Next Gen Ministry encompasses our kids from birth through 18, and there are a number of places to serve.
Love babies? Our nursery is for kids age 3 and under and is open during the entire Sunday service.
Are littles more your speed? Our PreK / Kindergarten class is for preschool and kindergartners. Volunteers can serve as a helper or a teacher. Class starts when the kids are dismissed after worship.
Prefer the big kids? Our Elementary class is for kids in grades 1 - 5. Volunteers can serve as a teacher or a helper. Class starts when the kids are dismissed after worship.
Rather hang with the teens? Our Student Ministry is open to kids in the community from 6th - 12th grade. We meet on Wednesday nights from 5:00 - 8:00 when school is in session. We love our Student Volunteers to join us every week to build relationships with the kids.
Sunday Worship Service
It takes a lot of hands to host our Sunday worship gathering every week. Maybe you can help lighten the load.
Greeters: The first people our congregation and guests typically interact with are our greeters. Greeters welcome people in and hand out the bulletin.
Communion Prep: Each week we need people to set up our communion trays. Not only will you pour the juice and prep the bread, but we ask you to pray over those who will partake while you do it.
Communion Server: Every week we require 4 people to pass the trays near the end of service for Communion.
Musicians: Do you sing or play an instrument? This may be the place for you to team up.
Tech Team: Do you have some tech skills, or are you willing to learn? Every Sunday we need people to run the sound board as well as the slides.
Facilities Team: A few people are tasked each week with keeping our congregation and facility looked after in the background.
Baptism Helper: We provide those being baptized with someone to help them get ready and clean up behind the scenes.
Discussion Group Cafe: Each week we enjoy coffee, milk, donuts, and fruit at the Life House during discussion groups. Those serving in the cafe help set up and clean up.

Care Team
We are not only a family on Sunday mornings. We provide for the needs of our congregation throughout the week.
Home Communion: Take communion to those who are unable to get to church on Sunday mornings.
Home Visits / Deliveries: Sometimes people can't get out and could really use some company or something picked up and brought to them.
Hospital Visits: When our people are in the hospital, it can be encouraging to see a friendly face and someone to pray with.
Meal Trains / Food Prep: We regularly need people to provide food for our Student Ministry, but we also need people who are willing to be part of occasional meal trains for new moms, those who have had surgery, or those who just need a little help. We also need people willing to do food prep for special events throughout the year.
Funerals: When NCC hosts a funeral, we need a team of people to help the family with whatever they need during the service as well as prep and serve a meal.
Home Repairs / Yard Clean Up: From time to time, we become aware of a special need that a couple hours and some strong arms can help meet.
Other Ministiries
Women's Ministry: Are you particularly interested in serving women? Maybe our Women's Ministry is the right fit.
Men's Ministry: Do you have a heart for helping men? Check out our Men's Ministry.
Groups: Whether you call them small groups, life groups, or something else, groups are a place to really connect with others either as a member or a leader.
Counseling: Nashville Christians Church provides peer counseling free of charge. If you have a special gift of coming along side, this might be the right place for you.
